Fairmined Pink Sapphire Round Cabochon 4.5mm

The rubies and pink sapphires from Greenland were first discovered in the 1960's in a remote location in the southwest of Greenland, named Aappaluttoq, meaning 'red'.

These icy treasures are believed to be the oldest in the world having been buried under ice and snow for nearly 3 billion years! The rubies typically have a rich velvety colour and some inclusions.

They are mined by the only company licensed by the Government of Greenland, which adheres to responsible environmental laws, social and human rights and best business practice.
